Our mission is to provide excellent personnel and service while holding ourselves to the highest professional ethical standards.  We strive to maintain an exceptional relationship with physicians, clinics, hospitals, and patient communities in the hope of providing a worthwhile experience for all involved.  As we constantly assess our clients' needs, we are making the effort to customize our approach in order to best serve each location and patient population.  Our goal is to provide the most remarkable level of service while remaining one of the most trusted anesthesia partners in North Carolina.

Our Company

Twin City Anesthesia was founded in 2016 by a group of experienced anesthesia care providers who believed there was a more efficient, safe, and reliable way to provide anesthetic services to their local community.    

 

All of our CRNAs are certified by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists and licensed by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.           

 

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists have been safely administering anesthesia in the United States for more than 150 years and are the primary providers in many rural and suburban areas.  Each CRNA employed by Twin City Anesthesia has undergone multiple years in a critical care unit supplemented with strenuous education specializing in anesthesia techniques at some of the nation's top accredited schools. Twin City Anesthesia offers board certified, fully credentialed nurse anesthetists with BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications as well as malpractice insurance.  We are committed to working together to find the best fit for your organization and the patients you serve.

Twin City Anesthesia currently provides anesthesia services throughout North Carolina's Piedmont and Foothill regions, including Greensboro, Hickory, High Point, Morganton, Statesville and Winston-Salem.

Michael Williams MSN, CRNA

Owner/Partner

Michael has been working in various aspects of the medical field for more than ten years.   After earning his Master of Science in Nurse Anesthesia, Michael worked at Wake Forest Baptist Health as a board-certified nurse anesthetist.  During this time, he served in different roles on numerous committees, among which included the Department of Anesthesia Medical Peer Review Committee and a member of the Clinical Practice and Evaluation Committee.  He also shows a strong commitment to investing in his community, as he co-founded Hands of Hope Medical Clinic in Yadkinville, NC that has been open since 2011. He co-founded Twin City Anesthesia along with his two partners with a goal to solve both short and long-term anesthesia staffing needs for large corporations as well as private companies.  In his free time, Michael enjoys all kinds of hobbies including golf, basketball, flying, and the occasional nerf war with his kids. Michael lives in Advance and enjoys spending time with his wife Nikki and their four kids Caroline, Nathan, Natalie, and Reece. 

Bruce Monks MSN, CRNA

Owner/Partner

Bruce brings with him years of leadership in both military and civilian sectors.  Prior to his career in anesthesia, he served in the U.S. Army.  There he was recognized for his service and decorated with the Army Commendation Medal for Bravery.  During his nursing education he led his peers as president of both his nursing class and the scholastic honor society for his school.  Mr. Monks graduated his baccalaureate program with Summa Cum Laude honors and has since excelled in an anesthesia leadership role at a level one trauma center.  In addition to practicing as a well-respected CRNA, Mr. Monks is a partner and co-founder of Twin City Anesthesia.  His time in the military and the relationships he has formed with CRNAs over his widespread career have assisted Mr. Monks as he leads TCA in their site acquisitions and customer relations.  Mr. Monks, also a triathlete and Ironman competitor, enjoys spending time at home with his wife Paige.

Daniel Smith MSN, CRNA

Owner/Partner
Daniel is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist who began his schooling at Georgia Southern University, where he played Division 1 soccer and received a degree in kinesiology.  After many discussions with his father, a nurse, he decided to return to school and focus his career path on a career as a nurse anesthetist.  He started his nursing work in the cardiothoracic ICU at Wake Forest Baptist Health where he spent 2 years.  He developed a passion for patient care, which was further cultivated in his time spent in anesthesia school at Wake Forest, and he graduated from there in 2015.  As a CRNA, Daniel has gained diverse experience with providing anesthesia for a wide range of procedures in community hospitals and major medical centers, including surgeries for the pediatric and obstetric population.  Daniel loves teaching student nurse anesthetists and was awarded “Clinical Instructor of the Year” by Wake’s nurse anesthesia class of 2017.  In his free time Daniel enjoys playing soccer and spending time with his wife Stephanie and their son Linus.

Candace Bemont

Practice Manager

Candace has a diverse background of experience she brings to her role as Twin City’s practice manager.  She has degrees in Religion and Native American Studies that she received from Colgate University.  Over the years she has worked in non-profit, financial education, and academia including curating an anthropology museum and organizing cultural events in Upstate New York before moving to North Carolina in 2014.  When she is not busy with TCA, Candace enjoys traveling to Rwanda to partner with rural hospitals and sustainable agriculture.  She and her husband Tyler reside in Mocksville with their 3 children.
